really is worth it
Okay some of you know and some of you dont but i have been struggling to find the point and imporantance of church now i know its not about me but about others but here is the thing how can we be encourged and learn about God ( not indepth) but we should learn something about God or another way to look at our spirtiual walk but how can this done when
lately our churches no longer welcome new commers insted they get told well if you didnt grow up in this sort of church your going to hell, or you dont make the kind of money accepted in this church your not welcome or my personal favoirte you can be going to a church but when you need a ride or help after helping so many all of the sudden its inconvance for anyone to help and than rip people apart for not being there, also i love when churches take advantage of people i will tell all of the above seniors are real and i have personally seen all of them happen now i know many of you saying well the church isnt the building but the people well im talking about the people in church and I know humans are stupid but we are and the politics of the church are so obisous that i dont think church leaders know how obisous it is to the outsiders but ohh how we can tell i feel that church is no longer for encourging others but for puting them down
so i leave it you my friends to give your thoughts on why church may be or may not be imporant

That's some real CRAP that's happened to you and friends of yours. I can definitely see why it would turn anyone off from even trying. I've felt very much like quitting sometimes. You get tired of being treated like that again and again. And the politics just make me sick.
Despite that, I am really glad that I have kept meeting with the church through those times, because of some benefits. Now I know it's not all about me or you, but here are ten reasons I am thankful for the church.
1. I've learned a lot more about God. From people's experiences, testimonies, and studies.
2. Friendships. I never would have known was I was missing out on, but the friends I've made in the church have been a HUGE blessing to my life.
3. A chance to be involved in ministries. I know you can be involved in things outside of a church context, but serving him alongside a church is often easier to join in with.
4. Wisdom. Listening to older Christians who have possibly experienced the same junk has taught me a LOT.
5. Singing along with others helps me to praise him better than I could on my own. I do not have enough words to express the love that I feel, but those who are very creative have written great songs which I love to sing in the midst of others who agree.
6. the Lord's supper. Without this (at least) weekly reminder, I would tend to forget what He has done for me. Sad as that is, that's how lame I am.
7. Other people have spiritual gifts to strengthen us. How can we be strengthened by them if we won't even meet with them. 1 Corinthians 12 is one of my favorite passages on this. I know you read my blog about it... but seriously, I would not SURVIVE without the encouragement of others. and a body is not something that can separate its parts and still function.
8. You can encourage others. Who knows but maybe someone there has had a similar experience, and you can share your story with them. You're not the only one who has been treated shittily by Christians but still loves God.
9. Prayer. I know people even in Australia are praying for you ;) and you can share your requests with your friends, but the local church can pray WITH you. and people who are close have something long distance can never make up.
10. Accountability. spiritual leaders really help me keep an eye on everything from my personal digressions to my theology as a whole. I mean, if I'm only answering to myself I can rationalize just about anything.
okay so a top ten list might be lame, and there might be better reasons out there, but those were the things that immediately came to my mind when I read your question. It's not sinful to not "go to church" but if you want to grow, it surely was designed by God that we get together with other Christians. Organized church makes me sick sometimes. When it's an institution for money and not a family... it makes me downright mad. But I'll be praying that you find a body that's glorifying Him and building others up.
